Spring Break: Change is Blooming

I am continuously delighted to see the positivity and resilience displayed by our District 142 students, as they have navigated truly out-of-the-ordinary circumstances over the past two years.

As we continually follow local Covid-19 metrics from Northwestern University, in conjunction with the Illinois Department of Public Health, we have seen a marked, sustained decline in positivity rates. While the health and safety of all students and staff remains our priority, our administrators have been working to develop plans for a return to more "ordinary" school activities.

As our families and staff head off to Spring Break, we have some updates to our Covid-19 mitigations currently in place. Spring is a time of renewal and we are excited to bring back in bloom some events and activities that have been too-long dormant. Check out our attached, updated mitigations and garden of possibilities for when our students and staff return in April. I wish you and your families a restful, relaxed Spring Break!
